Veterans & Their Families
The story of your military service is as individual as you are.
That’s why we’d like to help you find personalized information about the benefits you’ve earned and services you may qualify for as a United States veteran.
Aid and Attendance (A&A) benefits pay for a portion of long-term care when vets or their surviving spouses need certain kinds of health care. You’ll find information about A&A benefits when you click here.

Not sure which veterans benefits you, your spouse or your parents have earned?
The starting point in your search for information about benefits and services – including Aid and Attendance -- is your County Veterans Services Office (CVSO). County veterans services officers are up-to-date on state and federal laws and issues affecting vets. They’re compassionate, and dedicated to responding to the needs of America’s veterans and their families.

Volunteers of America living and care communities for older adults welcome veterans and their families. Many have VA contracts, and years of experience caring for the sometimes complex health care needs of veterans in both rehabilitation and long-term care.
Volunteers of America Veterans Services
Since World War I, Volunteers of America has been dedicated to helping veterans find the housing, health care, employment and support services they deserve. We’re committed to ending homelessness among vets – and preventing others from becoming homeless. Every night, we give veterans across the nation emergency shelter and, when they’re ready, provide transitional and often permanent homes for them.
Our goal is to help veterans succeed in the sometimes difficult transition from military to civilian life. Click here if you'd like help or more information on Volunteers of America's veterans services.
